Several months ago it became clear that our hearts, mind, and our mission needed to fully include the children of Cincinnati.
We have served in Cincinnati in a limited way for a number of years, but we knew it was time to fully commit. We don’t want to stop by and help when convenient, we want to put down roots in the city, providing lasting service to the children in need there.
With that in mind, we have hired our first staff member devoted to growing our impact in Greater Cincinnati.
Please meet John Forde, our new Greater Cincinnati Area Director of Shoes 4 the Shoeless!
John is a multi-talented, and accomplished leader, with experience in sales, education, finance, and entrepreneurship. He has even worked in management at a shoe store. Those are just for starters.
For the past several years, John has worked as a para-educator in Cincinnati Public Schools. As well as holding positions within the Cincinnati Rec Center system in the summer months. His wife is wonderful and is a teacher in the Fairfield City School District. They are proud parents to a sweet little boy.
Born and raised in Cincinnati. John is a product of Cincinnati Public Schools. He has first-hand knowledge of the need for shoes among the students. He has seen it with his own eyes, but most importantly he has seen their suffering with his heart.
Passionate about people in general, he serves as an Associate Pastor at The Valley Church in Norwood.
Vastly connected within the Greater Cincinnati region, we are excited to work alongside John as we serve more children within Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont counties!
John is the perfect addition to our team as we continue to ease the suffering of thousands of children from Greater Cincinnati to the Greater Miami Valley.
He will be officially starting with Shoes 4 the Shoeless on August 15, 2023 ahead of the busy school year delivery schedule.
John will be splitting his time this year between Greater Dayton and Cincinnati as he learns the nuances of our organization. We cannot wait for you to meet him!
